This is avintage ANRIfull figured finely carved wooden \"happy monk\" coaster set. It includes seven original coasters, a coaster stand, and a monk. The monk, aside from his refreshing smile, can also lend you a hand in opening a wine bottle, since his head is attached to a corkscrew. The coaster stand measures 6 1/4 by 3 3/4 by 3 1/2 inches while from the bottom of the stand to the top of the monk\'s head, is 5 1/4 inches. The whole set is in excellent to mint condition with a small spot of fading on the back of the monk\'s head and perhaps a spot or two of fading elsewhere. Although the monk and his bench are firmly attached to the stand, there is some wiggle room there. Other coaster sets/stands (but none so nice as this one) appear on pages 182-184 in the definitive \"anri Woodcarvings\" by Philly Rains & Donald Bull.
