Presenting this fine and somewhat different Al Wolf Soapstone carving. This piece is a little different as it is carved in half-relief so that it would be mounted on a plaque. The carving is of soapstone featuring an Eskimo Mother or Father, tending to their child who is in a hammock. The carving itself measures 6 1/4 inches wide by 4 inches tall by 1 inch thick. It is marked \"WE\" near the center of the piece and also has a foil label on the back. The piece is mounted onto a woodplaque, measuring 8 1/4 inches long by 5 1/4 inches tall. The piece shows great details of what life is/was for these people. In very good condition.
