Vintage RARE porcelain PINEAPPLE Shot Glass or Cordial set of 4 FOUR by ANEKONA of Hawaii - a real 1960\'s Hawaiian relic from the estate of a Navy officer who served at Pearl Harbor in the early 1960\'s. Hawaiian Ceramic pottery. Apparently packed away and unused for the last 50 years!
Beautiful green and brown pineapple skin pattern outside. Inside is bright pineapple yellow. Each has the Anekona \"dancing man\" mark underglaze. Anekona even hand finished each cup by daubing a post-firing color over the white bisque edge under each cup, so the white fired clay wouldn\'t show and ruin the effect.
Excellent condition. They look as if they were never used. A few small sharp glaze spots inside as they came from the kiln. The Navy officer was a bachelor when he bought them, and it seems likely that he put them in storage when he shipped out of Pearl - first for Antarctica and then for Viet Nam - and they stayed put away for ever and ever.
No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Beautiful glaze.
