A vintage, almost antique - 89 years old - sterling silverand steel button hook, made by Adie Brothers Ltd, Birmingham, England.

Hollow,sterling silver handle and steel tool end. Art deco – geometric - guilloche.

English hallmarks:

Adie Bros’ Ltd. Hallmark (Bros – capital letter “A” – Ltd)– not easily recognized, because of wear.

The anchor, for Birmingham.

The lion, for sterling silver 925.

“D” capital letter, as the date code for 1928.

Excellent original condition and clear detail, with noremovals, repairs, alterations, cracks or dings.

Measures 13.8 cm (5.43inches) long.
