For your consideration is an antique paper mache / cardboard shoe.

Most of this show appears to be some sort of heavy cardboard.

I can see newspaper print on the tongue hinge leading me to believe at least part of this is paper mache.

There are a few shells missing.

This came from a very old estate with records dating back into the 1700\'s.

The \"tongue\" hinge is broken (see pics). I believe it was designed to hold something. Maybe snuff, jewelry or trinkets.
