For offer is a pretty vintage powder compact from approx 1920s 1930s by STRATTON England makers of quality powder compacts. This is the non-spill version patent 407785.

It is made from silver coloured metal probably chrome or similar. The front has a reverse painted image of a crinoline lady scene with butterfly wing background under celluloid.

Inside is a good framed mirror and powder well with the non-spill metal sifter which is stamped.

The compact has age wear, some metal wear. The front has some slight surface wear to celluloid and butterfly wing has deteriorated quite a bit. Please see zoom pictures for detail.

Measures 3 inches across. Clasp and hinge good.
