These were usually mounted on the bow of a boat and used as a mooring cleat to tie the boat off or pull it around. This vintage bow handle measures approximately 5 1/4” long and 2\" high. The chrome is in good condition and will benefit from a good polishing, best of all this brass / bronze fitting is the real McCoy and not one of the later zinc-alloy reproduction castings.
