Purchased recently from an estate on trendy Topanga Canyon, high in the Hollywood Hills. Spectacular California residence with views to the Pacific Ocean. The older home was under-going major remodeling and restoration, we were able to purchase some wonderful mid-century lighting fixtures and other vintage gems at this home, including this stunning European chandelier!
DESCRIPTION
Beautiful, Early Mid-Century European Bronze Gilt Crystal Chandelier, early 1940\'s.Luminousten (10) light chandelier is exquisite and restored to perfection! Fixture is medium-large in size with newer Swarovski Austrian crystal swags, garlands, and finial. It has new wiring to meet U.S. standards and is hard-wired for ceiling direct installation. European frame has antiqued bronze gilding and varnish over-coat to maintain the luxurious gilding. Highlights of this chandelier include; elegant scrolled arms, royal French crown (or cage) top section, double row of candelabra lights, individuallyhand-beaded Swarovski and Czech crystal swags in clear and pale cognac color with cream glass pearls,sparkling leaded Austrian crystals, diamond-cut prisms, original multi-faceted leaded almonds, and substantial French cut 3-4\" crystal pendants. Finishing touch is one large 50mm crystal ball finial. Crystals and prisms are of the highest quality 30% lead to provide dazzling light refraction. Exquisite 1940\'s era European chandelier has a distinctive French-Italian influence. This lighting fixture would enhance and complement your foyer, formal dining room, bedroom, powder room, vanity, or large, sophisticated kitchen. Beautiful stamped chain and matching canopy are included. Requires ten (10) candelabra size light bulbs max. 35w each.
