This is a Coach Skinny Tote in pristine Black Leather. The creed on this Skinny Tote has serial number 646-3701 and states that the bag was made in New York City. The Skinny Tote was eventually assigned Style No. 9546. This is what the 1981 COACH catalog listing says about the Skinny Tote:

“No. 9546 Skinny Tote. $110. Closed tote with mid-length straps can be carried on or off the shoulder. Outside coin purse is leather covered;leather lined. Large extra pocket inside. Brass industrial zipper. Black, Mocha, Tabac, Saddle, Burgundy, Navy, 13 inches

This Coach leather bag is one of the most sought after Coach products by collectors because it is a \"New York City Bag\". These are some of the highest quality Coach products. \"New York City\" bags were made in the original Coach factory in New York City that operated from the late 1960\'s through the mid 1980\'s. Consequently, they are disappearing at an alarming rate and when you buy a New York City Coach bag you are buying more than an accessory, you are purchasing a potential investment.

Condition:

This bag is in very good pre-owned condition. It has no rips, tears or holes. It is structurally sound. However, it has some scratches and scuffs from the encounters it has had over the last 50 plus years. The hardware is functional and the stitching and piping are intact.
