A scarce vintage cast metal bird figurine dating to the 1940\'s or 1950\'s. The bird is marked \"P.N.C.W. Made in USA\" on the bottom of the tail - made by the Progress Novelty Casting Works of New York.
The pheasant has a unique style, with a very long tail. The pheasant measures approximately 15\" in length (to the end of the tail) and 6.5\" in height. The body of the bird his hollow, while the tail is a solid metal giving the bird nice stability when standing.
The pheasant is in very good condition for its age. There are no cracks or breaks to the metal. The top of the bird does have a fairly heavily darkened patina to the metal as a result of age. The original (silvertone) color can be seen on the underside of the tail - but the rest of the bird has the aforementioned darkened patina/oxidation.Please view the photos to best judge this item for yourself.The bird will ship secured via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground depending on buyer\'s location.
