Vintage (1920 - early 1950\'s) beaded Necklace With Jumbo Bead from Chinese Export to USA, is rare and highly collectible.
This Statement Necklace is a single strand of beautiful porcelain beads in polished texture and oval shape. Fabulous variation of colors: midnight black, Chinese red, lime green, yellow, light blue and pink decorations with gold plated accent and oriental Floral design. Beads are hand double knot tied on strong original black silk with knots between each bead for protection. The decorative filigree box clasp is marked “Silver\" and acid tests for “Sterling\" the decorative top is yellow gold plated.

Details: - Detailed paintings on the beads go all the way around
- 32 large oval porcelain beads, measure approx. 23mm x 15mm or (9/10“ x 3/5“)
- 1 Jumbo porcelain Bead measuring approx. 40mm or (1-3/5“) diameter
- Double knotted on strong black silk
- Sterling Silver Yellow Gold plated push in box closure with decorative clasp
- Measures approx. 32“ with a 2“ drop including the bail in the Jumbo bead for a total of 34\" and weights a whopping 190 grams.

Condition: Excellent original Antique from estate. I gently wiped it with a damp soft cloth, but could be professionally cleaned.
I have not seen one this large with a sterling clasp, it will make a unique addition to your collection!

Chinese Export jewelry became popular during the late Victorian Period and lasted until the 1960\'s. In a lot of ways Chinese Export jewellery fashioned what we know of jewellery today. During these period\'s Chinese Craftsmen including Jewellers and stone cutters were considered by far the best in the world.

Older silver Chinese jewelry can be finely handicrafted and made much better than stuff that comes out of other countries.
