Here is a very nice Mid-Century/1970s era chunky carved wood Mexican picture frame. It measures 28 x 32 ins. in total, and the insert measurements are 20 x 24 ins. the frame is wood , burnished with a brown wash paint, and the inner molding is a sienna gold color( has some orange/red tones with the gold).It is not marked or stamped Mexican, but I have sold so many of these and seen so may I believe it is. The frame is in fair/good vintage condition with some surface scrapes/worn areas, corner edge chipped paint, and on one side of the inner gold molding some gold has worn off, or more likely has come off with an old tag.It could be touched up if it bothers you.
I would date this to the late 1960s to early 1970s time period. Perfect for that Southwestern , Western, Mid-Century, or Mexican decors.
