This glove was found at an estate sale in Navasota, TX. Seller stated he found it inhis Grandfather\'s barn, otherwise he had no other information. The label on the strapreads Lowe & Campbell, ATHLETICGOODS CO,Kansas City, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, St. Louis,Chicago, Dallas, Denver.The gloveis in fair to good conditionhaving several holes, flaking stiffleather,broken/missing leather strips and lacing and the name \"Dunlap\" written on the glove several times.In the last pic, there appears to be a circular stamp in the leather palm of the glove, but it is illegible. Research of internet disclosed Lowe & Campbell was started in 1912 by George C. Lowe and D. Keedy Campbell and merged with WilsonSporting Goods in 1931.The age ofthis glove was determined to be circa1920s, when manufacturers developed the \"Lacing Device\", which used asimple rawhide lace that was passed through vertical elongated tunnel loops sewed directly to the thumband forefinger. The lace between the loopson this glove is missing. It was also determined that this design, developed by \"Bill Doak\", a pitcher for theSt. Lewis Cardinals,subsequently lead to the modern day web.
