Vintage thick paper plate with collotype photos, from an early 20th-century French portfolio on avant-garde stage design - amazing set design inspired by Expressionism, Constructivism, Cubism, et cetera. The plate is richly printed in collotype on thick paper stock, illustrating a production of “Girofle,” based on an operette by Lecoq, by the Russian Theatre Kamerny in Moscow. Scenography by Alexandre Tairoff, costumes by G. Iacouloff. Rare theatrical and scenography piece would look superb framed. Total dimension of plate is 15\" by 11\". In excellent condition save for light age toning to edges, light crease to top right tip, and three-inch chip to top left corner, all of which would frame out. Please note my scanner could not capture the entire breadth of the plate.
