For sale is a finely made Dal Negro Treviso chess board and chess pieces. The pieces are not marked but the board is so I’m assuming the set is Dal Negro Treviso pieces made in Italy.

The board measures 14” by 14 inches. The king and queen measure approximately 3 3/4 inches.

The board and pieces are in very good condition (please see pictures for details). Some pieces show very modest wear.

The set looks to be nicely hand painted. The material is unknown but a likely a type of resin. I believe it’s a Medieval theme based on the look but I couldn’t find another set like them especially with the queens headdress and the pawns uniforms.

The box looks to original to the board. The pull tab to remove the board from the box is missing.

Overall this is a rare and very appealing chess board and set. Sold in as is condition.
