A beautiful Scandinavian (Norway) butterfly broochin solid 925s silver, with enamel overlay,by the famous firm of silversmiths David Andersen of Oslo, Norway.

Pearlescentred enamel wings and deep-black body. Lovely guilloche stripe marking detail on the wings. Back of brooch is stamped \'DAVID-ANDERSEN NORWAY STERLING 925S\'.

Condition is very good. Enamel all in good condition. Thesilver of thebrooch is gold-washed, giving a lovely vintage sheen. Some tarnish to back of brooch, which could be easily cleaned off or left as patina to show age of piece.

Date is around 1940s/1950s.

Approx 45mm (1 3/4 inches) across at widest point. Weight is6 grams.
