A recent estate find, I\'ve done research on the internet and haven\'t found anything close to this piece. I don\'t know its age and the owner doesn\'t either. I\'ll say right now there is a chip on one of the long sides. It measures about 1/2\" tall by 1/2\" wide at its widest point. With that said, I don\'t believe it takes away much on how nice this piece is. I don\'t know the maker but this is stamped on the bottom and reads \"Dresden, Germany\" along with the image of a kings crown. The gold gilt is hand painted. I believe the flowers are transfers but I\'m not quite sure. I was told this was a paper weight or some kind of press (for flowers). Again, I\'m not quite sure. This is very heavy for is size, weighing over one pound. I see no damage other than stated. The gold gilt is excellent as are all the floral patterns on this piece. All four sides have a different pattern. This displays extremely nice at it is. An excellent and rare find!

This measures approximately 5\" long by 2 3/4\" and close to 1\" thick at it\'s base. From bottom to top of knob is 2 1/4\". The knob is 1 3/8\" from corner to corner. Insurance is included in the shipping cost.
