CHARLES and RAY EAMES ALUMINUM GROUP MANAGEMENT CHAIRUp for sale is a Charles and Ray EAMES Aluminum Group Management Chair made by Herman Miller with 4-star base and
original casters. It has a ribbed blue fabric seat. Designed in 1958, this chair was probably made in the 60s or 70s. A 4 star base
on a caster chair indicates it is at least a pre-1980 version. We have owned it for 15 years. The chair adjusts for tilt stiffness and height and, of course, it spins. It has marks \'HM\' and \'Herman Miller\'. Though copies are ubiquitous,this chair retains its original, classic beauty. Look at pictures and ask questions if interested.Dimensions: 23\" wide, 23\" deep 32\" highCondition:
- Excellent fabric with attachment problems described below
- Excellent aluminum with normal, minor scratches/wear
- All original and no repairs yet.
- The seat has developed a sag because it is breaking free from the right side rail. The holding pins can be seen to have released.
Since the chair depends on tension in the seat material, it needs at least a partial disassembly of the sides to reset the material.
- The upper left screws connecting the rear crossbar have moved and need to be reconnected.This is listed for pick-up or delivery from Boston to New York City ($50) only; this charge would cover as many of our currently listed furniture/lamp items as will fit into our mini-van.
