Vintage Esther Hunt Chalkware Bust AH WU - Charming Chinese girl.Esther Hunt had a singular way with her subjects depicted in her paintings, prints and chalk busts. Each bust was hand painted, each different. This particular one appears darker than some, although I’ve seen similar treatment in other pieces - this could have been a stain that was applied to the piece, but not entirely certain.
I found this bust and one other E.H. bust (Cherry Blossom) at the same time and at the same place, and they were completely different in color and shade.
Approx. 6” height.
Very Good Condition, signs age, display wear. Chip to the point of her hat, and some paint wear. Most issues are visible in photos.
