The Rod that started it all, graphite. In the rare 4WT version. Very nice Taper in Light Line as well as length. Slow casting compared to modern graphite. Highly collectible early Fenwick HMG GFF704 light fly rod with the 1st series olive color wraps. All decals intact and on rod as well as the ferrules and wraps are in nice condition. Tube and Sock are original. This is the 1st HMG version and would be more for collecting. Rod is correct full length just a bit over 7\'0\" , there is no damage.! Made in USA. I believe that by the number 13,xxx rod was made in 1973. Some signs of use and soiling on cork but not much.The tube label is faded but shows model number. Tube has been modified with cap keeper chain very handy for use. Tube also shows dent, scratches, and sticker residue. Keep in mind this is a very light line rod and will break if stuck flies are not handled properly as well as hook checks on shaft will also cause breakage. Price can change at any time.
