- A great little gold embossed piece for curator\'s of collections
- of the macabre; funereal history - or of early plastic
- These boxes were intended to be temporary and disposable ~
the plastic is brittle ~ so this is quite RARE! - Found in a relatives\' attic containing a
wedding band - This little nicely-shaped - lipped -
box in brittle semi-transparent plastic was
used by the local funeral director to present
rings removed from a deceased person to family
members - Funeral director\'s name: Cyril H Lovegrove is
embossed in gold coloured lettering on the front - Contains the original square-cut, pale yellow wadd
of cotton wool used to protect the ring - Ring not included in the sale :-)
- In excellent clean condition - except for one small nick
on the upper rimCollectors - don\'t miss this little beauty!!
Funeral Director\'s names don\'t get much better than
\'Cyril Lovegrove\' !!Please check out my other listings!
(I have a LARGE black Victorian mourning jewellery cross
that may appeal)
With thanks,
Carol
