Here we have a beautiful Bensabott Signed SterlingSilver Gold Gilt covered Kellogg Grab-A-Phone Telephone. The telephone had thisbeautiful cover made in approximately the 1930’s timeframe by the Arts and CraftsBensabott Sterling and Jade House in Chicago Illinois.

These special telephones included the trademarked stampingon the handmade covers, maker and Sterling on the base of the phone – see thepics. The cover is done in a floral design all over the base and upright stemof the phone. The Sterling was then gold plated and so were the other original metalparts of the telephone. Only the very well to do would have had one of thesephones to use in the home.

Thisbeautiful piece has the original patina which I chose to leave in place. Somecollectors of these fine pieces of art will truly appreciate. The decision tothoroughly clean and polish the phone can be made by the purchaser.

TheBakelite parts of the handset are free of cracks or breakage.

Both theline cord and handset cord are old and in excellent condition.
