Vintage German Paper Mache Thaksgiving Turkey Candy Holder Figurines- Set Of 4:

This is fantastic set of vintage turkeys, three of which are paper mache candy holders, made in Germany, and the smallest turkey is a solid figurine in metal. The largest turkey measures 10-1/4” and is 7-1/4” wide. The head comes off and the metal lead feet are glued to a green paper cardboard base. The base is marked “Made in Germany” in purple ink and still has the original store tag from Meir & Frank (a very swanky department store founded in Portland, OR) showing the original price of $3.98, marked down to $1.98. The second largest turkey measures 4-3/4” tall x 2-3/4” wide. The head is removable and the word “Germany” is stamped in purple ink inside. The painted red feet are metal lead. The third largest turkey measures 1-7/8” tall x 1-7/8” wide. It’s stamped “Made in Western Germany” on the bottom in purple ink. The last little turkey is made of cast metal and measures 1-3/16” tall x 1” wide, with no markings that I can see. The condition of all the turkeys is very good—-the paint is intact, there are no holes in the paper mache. Nice mid-century vintage pieces for your Thanksgiving decor or paper mache collection!
