This is a great old German metal Halloween tambourine from the 1920s era!It is inexcellent condition with some wear around the toprim and a few light surfacescratches. Please zoom in on the pictures to see just how nice this old tambourine is!I call theimage on the top the \"Screeching Cats\" :-) Around the edge are great graphics of crossed broomsticks, frightened black cat faces, JOLs and flying witches. It\'s good to remember that these old Halloween noisemakers were dime store toys that were not quality controlled! It measures about 6 7/8\" across not counting the cymbalsand is about 1\" high. On the side almost running off the bottomare printed the words\"J. CHEIN & Co. MADE IN U.S.A.\" It\'s that \"quality control\"issue again! In reviewing the listing. I see that the fourth picture makes the cymbals look copper coloredwhich they are not - they are old tin. Thatmust have been caused bycamera flash as I took a close up. I put the tambourine on the scanner, and the last photo shows the cymbals as they should appear.Shipping will be $6.50. Thanks for looking!
