A Gullah sweet grass basket made by Jery B Taylor in Frogmore (St Helena Island), SC in the early to mid 1990s measuring 10.75 inches in diameter and 3.38 inches tall. This basket has one (1) area of damage on the rim where the wrapping has broke (see photo). Baskets made by Jery B Taylor are made from sweet grass, palmetto, pine needles and bulrush and can be found on display at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC as well as other museums in the southEastern region of the US.
