This is a vintage hand carved figurine of a guardian angel praying. This figurine is carved from olive wood and has beautiful attention to details on the face, hands and wings. This figurine sits 2.5\" tall, the base is 3/4\" by 1.5\". Very beautiful and smooth, glossy finish. Signed on the bottom \"HB\". This figurine was collected by a WWII solider to send home to his mother. I believe it was collected during his service, or on his many travels after the war, sometime between 1940-1960s. He travelled to places including Germany, Israel, Australia, Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, and many others. Please see photos for condition of item, no chips, cracks, or repairs.
