Please notice this is a quilt TOP: it is NOT a finished quilt or bedspread, as there is no batting or backing beneath the pieced fabrics seen in the pics.
And, on top of that, it is just a piece of a quilt top, in the shape of a capital letter L, inverted, as seen in pic # 1. The long part of the L measures 98\", and the bottom part measures 56\". The bed in the pics is a queen, 80\" by 60\", for size comparison purposes.
The number of Fan blocks in this piece of quilt top is 122. If it were complete, full (meaning if this piece had the missing part), the total number would have been 14 x 11 = 154. But there are only 122, so there are 32 blocks missing that would have to be added up by the next owner in order to have a full 98\" by 56\" quilt top.

The makers used tiny pieces of feed sack scraps, set by hand, to make these 122 Fan blocks. The hand stitching is shown at close-up range on pic # 12, compared to a ruler, so you can have a better idea.
