You are offerding on a vintage heavy duty cast aluminum skillet with a domed lid, made by the West Bend Aluminum Company in West Bend, Wisconsin in the 1940\'s. Theskillet measures 10-1/2\" in diameter without the spouts and is 2-3/8\'\' high without the lid. It is 5-1/8\" tall with the lid and knob (which is high for a skillet) and measures 17-1/4\" long with the handle. It has a pour spout on each side of the skillet and is marked on the bottom \"Sears Best Maid Of Honor Cast Aluminum\" and \"Patent Design 143164\" and \"142245\". Both of these patents were issued in 1945.
The lid is in good condition and the knob is tightly attached to the lid. The skillet has a smooth cooking surface with some utensil marks and tarnish. It sits flat when tested on a granite countertop and there are no cracks, breaks or repairs, and no major dents or dings. There are scratches, tarnish, and some utensil marks on the skillet and lid, and it needs a good cleaning as there is baked on material. This is a great heavy duty skillet that would stand up to abuse. See high resolution photos for more.
