You are looking at a gorgeous 24K gold plated vanity set with an intricate victorian design that’s circa 1950-1960s.

Comes with a GoldOrmolu Filigree and brass vanity mirror and brush.In the 1950s & 60s, the Globe Silver Company manufactured the same type of vanity accessories as Matson & Stylebuilt, in fact their dyes are very similar if not the same.

This ornate vanity set is a part of the Globe collection.

This is a beautiful set with lots of vintage charm and a victorian flair!

Features:

- Center of mirror and brush design is a cream color surrounded by an intricate victorian - brass that’s been gold-plated.

- Includes the original label which says the following:“GLOBE 24K Gold Plated\"

- Made in the USA

Condition:

Used condition with some gold loss and tarnish.

There are also a few spots on the cream backing to the mirror and brush. However, this adds to the character of the vanity set and gives the set a lovely patina.

The mirror has aged gracefully and reveals itself to be an antique via the blotchy spots that can be found on the glass of the mirror. For background,whether made with tin and mercury or a thin sheet of silver, a mirror of this sort will tarnish or oxidize over time.

This results in dark or blotchy spots visible through the glass when looking at the front of the mirror and is also an indication of the fact that you’re looking at an antique mirror.

The spots on the vanity mirror can be found throughout the entire mirror.
