Very well done art work by a Native American Hopi Tribe Member named Milland Lomakema Sr. Place this was created is called Shungopovi which is on the Hopi Reservation, Second Mesa, Northern Arizona.

Art worked is signed and has Sold label on back. Original price in 1971 was $22.00. This sold at a Hopi Craftsman Exhibition on May 20th, 1971. Has the Museum of Northern Arizona, Flagstaff tag/label on the reverse side.

Measures about 23 1/2\" tall x 12\" wide x 1 3/8\" thick. In good, vintage condition. Please reference all photos.

Wood frame with covered back. When I feel the surface lightly I can feel the paint from the splatter so I suspect this to be an original. I am further convinced this is an original due to the tag on the reverse. This item has never left Northern Arizona and is about 44 years old. There does seem so be some staining around the art work on the burlap canvas type material on the frame. This flaw is not on the artwork itself, just on the frame. I had to look closely to see this but wanted to mention. This should be visible in the last two photos. When it\'s on the wall you don\'t see it or atleast I didn\'t. Shouldn\'t be too hard to reframe this artwork should you desire so. Thanks for the look see.
