The style is also Art Deco like because of the fluted columns and the general shape of the base
The Shade Angles on ball and socket fittings at the top of the columns, so you can adjust the angle ofthe light on your work

The lamp Works. It is a preheat type fluorescent lamp, where you push down and hold the switch a bit and then release it to turn on the light. Push the switch again to turn it off.
The old metal lamp was finished in a light beige finish that has pitted and oxidized and has a few scratches. It looks quite vintage because of it. You could leave it that way or have it refinished by someone.
