Vintage Irish Blackthorn Shillelagh from the estate of a gentleman who was a Merchant Marine during WWII and a lifelong traveler. I don\'t know how old this is, but I know he travelled to Europe on the transatlantic cruise ships RMS Queen Mary and RMS Queen Elizabeth, both of which were retired in the late 1960s. When and where he acquired this walking stick is unknown. Still is solid but there are cracks at the top end and some scrapes and areas of bark loss. See photos for more condition information. The end cap is metal and made of either brass or copper (see photo). There is a seam with a small nail at the top end. I don\'t know anything about these sticks except what I\'ve seen since acquiring it, but if you have questions, let me know and I\'ll try to help you out.
