Up for offer is this wonderful, rare set of Four Vintage Fish Plaques made by James Heddon\'s Sons Fishing Tackle Lure Company in Dowagiac, Michigan.
They are in very good condition. Three are marked and one has no marking on the back, \"From the famous collection of James Heddon\'s Sons Dowagiac, Michigan\".
TheJamesHeddon\'sSons Co. was, at one time, the worlds largest manufacturer of fishing tackle.
It\'s inception was in 1902 and it\'s departure from Dowagiac was in 1984.
The plaques show 4 different fish: Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout and Brook Trout.
The plaques are made of wood and have a wonderful patina.
The Brook Trout plaque has a small chip on the face as indicated in photo.
Each plaque has a strip of what appears to be leather attached to the back from which to hang the plaque.
The bark along the edges is flaking.
The plaques vary slightly in size but are approx 5.5 inches x 10.5 inches.
The collection would make a wonderful addition to any fisherman or nature lovers \"Man Cave\" or other room in the home!
