Josef Originals ceramics were designed by Muriel Joseph George. The first pieces were made in California from 1945 to 1962. They were then manufactured in Japan. Josef Originals started in the postwar prosperity, but started to suffer after cheap imitations of its work were imported from Japan. The company was sold to George Good in 1982.
This listing is for a Josef Originals elephant with a bunch of flowers curled in it\'s trunk. It sits nearly 5\" tall. It has a round stickers that shows it as a Josef Originals and made in Japan.
