RARE Vintage JOSEF ORIGINALS Large "LOVE MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND" Series Figurine LADY IN PALE AQUA WITH PARASOL Mint Condition (Black Eyes) Description
- Wonderful vintage and rare figure made by Josef Originals
- She is from LOVE MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND series
- She is shown on page 73 of "Josef Originals" by Harris/Whitaker (1999) with a then price of $160-$175
- With original gold foil label on the side
- She measures approximately 9" tall
- Great handpainting - with black eyes, lashes and red heart-shaped mouth
- Wearing a beautiful palest aqua ballgown, with embossed bright blue and pink flowers and gold lacey leaves, she holds a matching blue umbrella embossed with pink flowers and gold lace leaves
- She has a largegolden bow in her very stylized upswept hair
- Virtually mint condition - there are no chips, cracks, hairlines, other damage or restoration and the only "flaw" is a pin prick sized lack of gold gilding at the very tip of the umbrella - this is NOT a chip - I believe just missed during the application of gold at the factory
- It is amazing that all other vulnerable parts have survived completely intact
- No paint loss noted and no crazing lines noted
- Marked as shown in photo, with impressed Josef Originals mark and stamped Japan in black
- Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash
- This great vintage piece would make a wonderful addition to your Josef collection or a most treasured gift for someone special
