This sale is for a Vintage Antique Royal Doulton King George V Silver Jubilee Loving Cup. This cup was
manufactured by Royal Doulton Potteries in 1935 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Her
Majesty Queen Mary spanning 1910-1935 and is one of a very few with crowns on their heads. This is a Limited
Edition and is #114 out of 1,000. Please see the picture of the Certificate of Authenticity that has the original
signature of Charles J. Noke and will be included with the loving cup. The banners around each of the handles
list the countries that were part of the British Empire at that time. The countries are: Jamaica, India, Kenya, South
Africa, N.S. Wales, and C. Colony on one handle. The other handle has the countries of Canada, Natal, Ceylo,
Australia, New Zealand, and Quebec. The front showcases the King and Her Majesty in silhouette with their crowns.
The back shows a Knight in Shining Armour on his Steed. This spectacular loving cup is in excellent condition for its\'
age. There is some scattered light crazing on the outside and a general tight network of crazing on the inside and the
very bottom of the piece neither of which is very noticeable because of the business and intense color of the piece.
There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. Toward the very bottom of the cup on the outside in the brown area the names
Noke and H. Fenton are inscribed on either side of the handle at the back of the horse. On the blanket that drapes over
the rump of the horse, St. George is incised. This piece measures 10\" tall and is 11-1/2\" from edge of handle to edge of
handle, the diameter at the top is 7\", and the diameter of the opening is just under 6\". The bottom is marked as pictured
