Lovely 5 3/4\" green hat and dressLady Head Vase by Napco. Excellent condition, no chips, no cracks and no repairs. Perfect \"brush\" eyelashes, dangle earrings and red lips. Very clean inside as well.

She is in excellent condition and would make a very glamorous addition to your collection of vintage lady head vases.

What are Lady Head Vases?!

Lady Head Vases were popular in the 40\'s, 50\'s, & 60\'s as containers for flower arrangements. There are several excellent publications written about the heads that include beautiful pictures, history and values. The florists bought these vases through pottery importers. There were many, many importers of the vases and some put their label names on the bottom, and some did not.There are over 1,000 known variations of lady head vases: ladies, children, men, clowns, famous glamour girls, etc - all of them are collectible but the most popular seem to be the fashion model looking gals and the teen heads. Some of the vases as you will see were inspired by movie-stars and well-known famous people such as Jackie Kennedy (which I will be listing too). There is a huge base of collectors of these Lady Head Vases and many of us met yearly in Orlando for the Lady Head Vase Convention where you could walk into the hotel meeting room to find tables and tables of heads for sale. The night before this sale in the meeting room, the dealers would set up in their rooms for a private sale and collectors could visit all the rooms and get first pick. Was an exciting time! I\'m told the conventions will no longer be held in Orlando. So here is a chance to add some real beauties to your collections or maybe you are just starting out. I have vintage head vases as well as some of the new collections and each sale will specify whether they are vintage or new.
