These fixtures werethe very best and most expensive offered by Porcelier – theirpièce de résistance. At a glance, it’seasy to understand why. The chandeliers are a knock-out. The chandeliers arealso quite rare; I’ve only once ever offered this particular style. And, tohave a matched pair? Wow.
- The shades! Oh my! They are large(16-wide) and beautifully, stunningly molded out of thick glass. There aresweepingdesigns of flowers and stylizedleaves.
- The bottoms of the shades are alsodeliciously molded with a swag frieze. This is incredible when lighted.
- The finials are spectacular. Theyare a glass sphere with a swirling design, like a miniature tornado! Ilove it! Each was hand blown; as such, no two are alike.
- Just above the finial is a widebrass mounting disk. It’s a small detail but oh so important.
- The stems are porcelain (!) withbrilliant gold highlights and incredibly pretty and detailed flowers. Wow!Porcelier at its best.
- Above the stem is a solid brassflourish which hangs from the chain. Very nice.
- The ceiling canopies are alsoporcelain, and, like the stems, feature brilliant gold trim and intricateflowers.
