From a local estate, this sale offers a vintage Mason\'s Ironstone China large \"Joke Cup & Saucer\" set. It is done in the transferware pattern called \"Vista Pink.\" The cup is approximately 3\" tall x 4 5/8\" across the top and the saucer 7 1/4\" diameter. The cup is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs - it does have a couple of darkened glaze pops inside the cup which occurred during the manufacturing process. The saucer has one tiny spot of missing glaze on the rim and one small shallow chip on the rim (see picture 9) - these are not seen when the saucer is in use. The saucer is otherwise in great condition with no other chips and no cracks. There is some crazing from age on both pieces. Replacements.com prices this set at $69.95!!! This set is hard to find and would be a wonderful addition to your collection!
