Eleanor Hamlin Lucite compact with silver insert. Created in the the late 1940\'s and advertised as \"The New Gem-Cut Compact by Eleanor Hamlin originally sold for $2.95! By the mid-1950\'s MAVCO disappeared as a brand of compacts.

The compact is signed Eleanor Hamlin MAVCO on the back and has the original power puff and sifter. The compact is in as found condition. Mirror will clean up good. It has some paper from the puff stuck to it. Puff is worn, has overall wear to plastic,closes well, near the hinge you can see a chippy rough spot to the plastic...see photo.
