You are looking at a rare vintage wood \"Porceloid\" stool made by the Sanitary Specialties Co. The stool is in excellent sturdy condition with the coating chipping at the bottom of the legs.
The wood on the stool is covered with a thin coat of plastic (celluloid). The coating has the appearance of the 1940\'s - 1950\'s cracked ice. The wood looks like hard maple.
The stool is 15\" high with a 12 1/4\" square top. The cross braces under the seat could hold magazines or a few books.
The underside of the seat is marked \"Five year guarantee Porceloid Sanitary Specialties Co.\".
