Vintage Mueck-Carey Sterling Silver Pedestal Candy Compote Dish 6 Inches Tall:

This sterling candy dish stands approximately 6 inches tall. I shined it up with polish but with a little more work or different product, I am sure it will shine up more. It is approximately 6 3/4 in diameter. It has abeautiful intricate open weave pattern along with three leaf floral pattern.

Look closely at the interior of the bowl as there are some small specks of black which I assume is loss of silver. I believe you can see this in the picture. Also, there are a few small dents and somefine scratches.

I was able to find the markings on this piece although it is scratched on the bottom. It is marked with < M > and states \"Sterling Reinforced with Cement o 6.8\". It is my understanding that the <M> mark is from Mueck Carey. I spent a lot of time researching this mark. I am always greatful to learn if I am incorrect. The rim of the base has dents which I assume are there fromproduction. It is very pretty even though it has its flaws. It was a family piece passed down to me. It is old.
