This vintage souvenir is made of heavy copper plated metaland is marked on its bottom with the name of its manufacturer and that is it wasmade in West Germany.
The building depicted is the Dom zu Koln or Cologne Cathedralwhich was the tallest building in the world from 1880 to 1884 when it wassurpassed by the Washington Monument. Thisdetailed model is more modest in scale but is still impressive at 4¾ incheslong and 6 inches tall.
This is fully working music box though I do not recognize thetune it plays when the lid is raised.
Most importantly this box still has its original quatrefoil shapedkey so your Rosary can be locked up for safety.
