Another great find at an estate sale in Atlanta! This is a NAPCO or National Potteries CO. (Of Columbus, Ohio) clown head vase. Made in 1958, according to stamp on the bottom. (The original sticker is attached, as well.) It is in VERY good condition, considering that it is almost 60 years old! Minor crazing in some areas. All of the original paint is intact and shiny. (A bit of the gold on the little ball on his hat may have rubbed off but can easily be touched up. I didn\'t see him until now so I don\'t really know if there was more or not.)and shiny! No cracks, chips repairs, etc. Inside was dusty but looks clean now, after rinsing. There is a tiny spot of brown paint under the glaze on the back of his hat.. See picture. Nothing to take away from the beauty or function of the piece. This would be great as a vase, a planter, eye glass holder, a pen/ pencil holder, a place to put straws, toothbrushes, a nice decoration in a child\'s room or just on display. Cool little piece of nostalgia. I had one of the lady\'s head vases that this company made when I was a little girl. Wouldn\'t it be a great gift for someone who collects clowns?
