Authentic antique (NOT a modern reproduction) clay brick produced by the Nassau Brick Company which was based in Long Island New York. Originally founded as Post Brick Company in the late 1800s, it came under new ownership and relocated in 1936. The company eventually closed in the 1980s. This is a used (and thus imperfect) brick recovered from a demolished building. Solid and structurally-intact, the embossed Nassau name can be read clearly as seen in the photo.
