This sweet Hummel-esque little crooner is made by Napco. He was made in Japan circa 1956. He is a vintage Victorian style street singer in a brown suit and top hat. He holds sheet music in one hand and his other hand is in his pants pocket. He stands approximately 5 1/2\" tall. He is part of the earlier release of Napco figurines. The series he is from had at least 5 figurines, all bearing the same music theme and stock number, SH1A. There was this little guy, Flute Player, Maestro, The Singer, and The Strummer.

The Napco Company is The National Potteries Corporation, which began production in 1938. Their products were extremely popular in the late \'50s and early \'60s. Napco produced figurines, collectibles, decorative glass and porcelain ceramics. Napco is still one of the most famous names for porcelain ceramics, antique pottery, vintage products and other collectibles and have become popular in their own right. This particular series was made to resemble the ever-popular M.I. Hummel figurines.
