Up for sale is a neat souvenir bowl from the New York World\'s Fair (1964-1965). Pictured on the front is a picture of the Unisphere and the words \"PEACE THROUGH UNDERSTANDING\". The Unisphere was the symbol for that years fair. I believe that this bowl is made of Japanese lacquer ware as I can see a different color coming through where the bowl has a tiny nick on the back. I looks as though it is lacquer over a light wood base. There are a couple of stickers on the back one of which reads \"MADE IN JAPAN\" and the other is not legible. It measures about 7 5/8 inches in diameter and is about 1 3/8 inches tall when laid down flat. There is some wear to the bowl, however the words and pictures on the front remain crisp and clear.
