Offered is an antique estate find of God & Goddess images hand carved bookends on a black base. Marking on back appears to be Japanese and a sticker indicates \"Hand Carved\" In nice condition with nice color and look. The only flaw found is that a tooth appears to be missing on man God. They measure approximately 5 3/4\"tall by 3 1/4\" wide on 1 1/2 \" base Polite questions cheerfully answered. They come out of a New York City estate having been in storage for 75 years. Owner is downsizing and is anxious to sell. She advises that an older brother seaman purchased in the 1930s in the far east which we cannot verify but is plausible.
