You are viewing a beautiful vintage Orthodox Christian icon from the 1940\'s measuring overall 8 3/4 inches by 11 1/4 inches. The shadow box frame is wood lacquered black and the image is protected by glass. The image of the Virgin Mary and Christ Child is a varnished print surrounded by an ornate embossed gold tone \"oklad\" and inset with faux glass jewels and silver glitter. The bottom has hand painted letters in Polish or Ukraine origin. The icon has a hook on top and ready to hang.
