Parker Duofold Senior Red Fountain Pen W/ Perfect 14K Nib - Restored Item DescriptionOutstanding example of the first year (1928) two-band \"Red\" Permanite Senior Duofold. 1928 was the first year forthe two-banded cap, andfirst yearthe new \"Permanite\" plastic which replaced the hard rubber of the past. It was also the last year for the classic flat top design. 1929 saw the design change to the stream-lined shaped pens. Even deep orange color is glossy with minimal sign of being used much. Pen is excellent with the exception of one shallow impression (not exactly a scratch) on the back of the cap at the clip ring and some oxidation on the cap tassie. There are no cracks. Crisp \"small\" Duofold Lucky Curve barrel imprint. Gold filled plating on trim is perfect. Can not find one spot of brassing. Large pen measures 5 1/2\" capped and 6 3/4\" posted. Perfect 14K Parker Duofold Pen nib is fine/firm.Button filling system has been restored and is ready to fill and write for another86 plus years.
